Original Execution
This is great, but how can I make this extraordinary?
- Page 1 and Q&A page are so strong that the spread in-between sticks out like a sore thumb.
- Elements outside or too close to margin zone.
-Body copy font subject to improvement.
Updated Execution
 The Cover
Margins are set to 0.25 on all sides, therefore the barcode and main cover lines had to shift up. Making this minor change reduces the feeling of anxiety when objects are placed too close to the edge. In addition, when mass printing, keeping important elements such as the barcode, masthead and main cover lines and all other text within the margins or "safe zone" insures that it will not be "cut off" if a misprint happens
Spread 1
Photoshop Process
One of the biggest issues I had with the original design of the first spread was that a.) There were too many purples which clashed with the warm tones. and b.) very busy backgrounds.

1. Cut out subject
2. Replaced purples to peach
3. Completed subjects shoulder
Indesign Process
Originally, the picture of the subject was placed on top of the colored circle with a gradient. To my best judgement, It wasn't the most efficient design nor the cleanest. Therefore I placed the image in the exact frame as the colored circle

1. Place image in desired frame, position to liking
2. Duplicate frame and place it on top of original
3. Use direct object tool and select uppermost frame
4. Cut image
5. Paste in place
6. Crop image from bottom to top so the effect is achieved.
Q&A Spread
Successful Attributes
 - Changing body copy from Adobe Garamond Pro to Calibri font family made a huge difference.
- Spread 1 overall composition, direction and color palette compliments the cover and Q&A pages.
- All contents fit comfortably within margins.
- A strong body of work.
